Another excellent auction at Manshed Auctions, Australia’s premier auction house for railway memorabilia. With another fast approaching on 11 October 2026 (with collectables too), Manshed continues to provide great results for both consignors and buyers. Here are a few highlights from our August 2026 auction:
Original baked enamel sign from Sydney’s Museum station, measuring 183m across.
$2,200 plus buyer’s premium (BP)
Next, a fantastic trike with Villiers engine as used by railwaymen to travel to and from their work a particular section on the railways. $4,300 plus BP. Next, we sold a remarkable piece of history, the builder’s plate off the Gunnedah Colliery steam locomotive (including an image of the loco showing this plate). This sold for $2,000 plus BP.

Finally, a beautiful Sydney destination board in fine condition which sold for $5,100 plus BP, as well as a Seth Thomas clock which found a new home for $1,700 plus BP. Great results in an auction with lots from $10 to $5,100. If you have railway memorabilia to move on, please get in touch with me (Dave) at Manshed Auctions.
